Over the past few weeks, we have practised lots of different patterns and tried to form lots of different letter shapes.
This week, can you try to use these letter shapes to have a go at writing your name?
Remember where to start the letter shape to form it correctly.
...and remember you can practise in lots of different ways- a pen and paper, but also with paint, chalks, a stick in the mud, paintbrush and a bucket of water, with your finger in a tray of salt or sugar, in mixed-up icing sugar, or in some of Daddy's shaving foam squirted on a plate or tray...
Have you got an empty cereal packet, food box, box that the toothpaste came in etc?
Ask your grown-up to help you to take it apart ... can you see how the 3D box (that can stand up) is made from different 2 D shapes that you can lay flat?
Can you then stick the box back together again!!!
Do you have a large ball at your house?
This week, can you practise your throwing and catching skills?
Watch the videos below to remind you how to throw the ball under-arm, and how to catch it safely.
Ask another family member to practise with you- how many times can you throw and catch the ball without dropping it?
Keep on practising...
putting on and taking off your shoes
putting your arms into the sleeves of your coat
pulling on a pair of trousers or tights
putting your head through the neck hole of a T-shirt and then finding the arm holes
doing up buttons and zips
