Physical Development

Challenge 1- Handwriting/Mark-Making.

Lat week, we practised using anti-clockwise circle shapes to form the letters

a  c  d  e  g  o

You can use these letters to write the word

egg

Can you write any more words using these letters?

Are any of these letter shapes in your name?

If so, practise writing your name, making sure you form each letter correctly.

Challenge 2- Fine Motor Skills and Co-ordination.

Do you have a beanbag at your house? If not, you could fill a food bag with sand, soil or rice. Remember to tie it up tightly!!

Can you practise balancing it on different parts of your body?

Make sure it doesn't fall off!

Pretend it is an egg- you don't want it to smash!!smiley

Challenge 3- Large Motor Movements.

I bet lots of you know Oti Mabuse from 'Strictly Come Dancing'.

She is currently doing dance sessions called 'Boogy Beebies', aimed at pre-school children.

Each session lasts about 5 minutes, and airs every day at 8.30 am.

You can livestream the sessions via

Oti also has lots of child-friendly dance sessions available to download.
