Challenge 1- Handwriting and Mark-making

Can you remember that last week we learned to write the letter 'd' using an anti-clockwise circle movement?

Here is the video again to remind you how to write this letter shape.

Letter Formation Lowercase d

We can also form some other letter shapes using this anti-clockwise circle movement.

Watch the videos below to find out how to form these letters.

You can then have a go- as before, you could use a pen and paper, but you could also try with chalks on the ground outdoors, a stick in the mud, a paintbrush and a bucket of water, your finger in a tray of salt or sugar...smiley

Challenge 2- Fine-Motor Skills.

Many birds build their nests by weaving  sticks, leaves, grass, moss and feathers together.

Could you find some sticks to fasten together to then practise weaving around them?

You could use wool, string, ribbon or try with natural materials such as grass or straw.

You could add in other natural materials to decorate your designs.

Challenge 3- Gross Motor Movement.

Another Cosmic Yoga session for you this week!

This time about a bird- I don't think you would see him in your garden!

Perhaps you can find out whereabouts in the world he does live.
