Working Together To Be The Best We Can Be

Physical Development

Handwriting.

This week we are going to practise making left to right horizontal lines.

Reach to the left with your mark-making tool- pencil, felt-tip, paintbrush, stick, finger...

Now move your arm all the way across your body from the left to the right so you make a mark- a bit like a tiger's stripe!!

How many lines can you make?

Perhaps you could use some brown, black, orange and yellow colours to have a go at making tiger stripes?

Fine-Motor Skills.

For this activity, you will need some small objects such as pasta pieces, beads, buttons, pompoms or small stones. Also, some tweezers, or tongs or even a peg to pick them up with!

Can you practise picking up the objects by squeezing the tongs with your fingers.

Try taking them from one plastic cup or bowl, and moving them into another one.smiley

Ideas for Daily Exercise!

Grown-Ups!- I'm sure most of you will have heard of Joe Wickes and his exercise programmes for young children. He is currently live streaming an exercise session via youtube every Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning at 9 am.

Great fun for all the family ( so I've been told!)

Here's one of last week's sessions for you to have a look atsmiley

I'm sure the children will love it!!

I know lots of you have also really enjoyed learning different yoga poses and listening to a story with Jamie via Cosmic Kids Yoga Adventures.

I have managed to find another video which uses yoga poses to re-tell the story of 'The tiger who came to tea.'

Click below to listen to the story and join in with the moves- have fun!
