Handwriting/Mark-Making Practice.
This week, we are going to practise making 'bridges'- moving our mark-making tool
'up, over and down'
like in the letter shapes
m n h r
Watch the videos below to show you how to form these letters correctly- remember you can practise making these marks in lots of different ways, not just with a pencil and paper!
Have you tried a stick in the mud, your finger in a tray of salt or sugar, some chalk on the ground outside...?
Fine-Motor Activity.
In Maths this week, we are thinking about objects that are
long and short.
Can you practise threading some pasta tubes onto a piece of wool or string to make a long string and a short string?
Remember to tie a knot in the end so they don't all slide off!!
Exercise!
Gerald the Giraffe discovered that he was really good at dancing, after all!!
Do you like to dance?
Your grown-ups may have heard of a lady called Oti Mabuse.
She leads dance classes especially for children and their grown-ups to join in with
Lots of the classes are based around films you may have watched like 'Frozen'. 'Moana', 'Shrek', 'Spiderman' and 'The Greatest Showman'.
I have put links to two of her classes below that you might like to join in with- have fun!!
A Walk Outdoors.
Remember, it is really important to try and get some fresh air and exercise every day!
Challenge!-Can you practise putting on your coat all by yourself before you go outside?
Once you can get your arms into the sleeves, practise doing up the zip or buttons.
It would be fantastic if we could all put our coats on by ourselves ready for when we return to Nursery
Grown- Ups- Watch the video below- you may want to teach your child this technique!
