Challenge 1.
Can you collect together some different fruits and vegetables?
You have already thought about the sounds at the start of the fruits the hungry caterpillar ate- p for plums and pears, s for strawberries, a for apple, o for oranges.
What sounds do the fruits and vegetables you have collected start with?
Ask another member of your family to play 'I Spy' with you- can they guess which fruit or vegetable you are thinking of? Now you have a turn!
Challenge 2.
Can you go on a hunt around your house and garden for as many objects as you can find that begin with the sound 'c'?
How many objects did you find?
Can you count them all?
Which was the biggest object? Which was the smallest?
Can you draw pictures of some of the objects you found?
Now put all the objects on the ground in front of you. Close your eyes tight shut whilst somebody takes one of the objects away. Can you say which one it is!!
