Phase 4 Phonics

In Phase 4 we look at consonant clusters. A cluster is where sounds are put together to make a group. It does not change the sounds but knowing these clusters helps the children to improve their reading fluency and sight vocab.

Eg. st - star             nk - think

     gl - glass            fr - frog

We will look at 4 sets of clusters each week. You can find this week's activities below.

If you want to practise any of the other phases the sounds and fast words are at the bottom of  this page. Please feel free to go back and revise any of the phase 3 sounds if needed.
