Think about the names of all the different birds you have found out about.
Think carefully about the sound you can hear at the beginning of each of these names.
's' for sparrow
'r' for robin
'b' for blackbird
'p' for pigeon etc.
Do you know what each of these sounds looks like when it is written down?
Can you do the 'Jolly Phonics' action to match these sounds?
Can you think of any other objects that begin with the same sound?
Stand in your garden or outside your house for a few minutes.
Listen very, very carefully!
