      How many of each of the objects can you spot?

Can you work out how many more you need to make 10?   You could use objects to help you.

Which numbers are the pirates hiding?   

You could draw your own number line to 20 and ask a grown up to hide a number with a small toy or coin.

    Challenge time:  Can you count on from the number on the chest to work out the total?

You can practise this skill using an empty box.  Count a small number of objects into the box, put the lid on and put some more objects on the top.  Can you say how many objects you have got altogether?
