And here's another ladybird game to play...
Draw a big ladybird on a piece of paper - outdoors, you could chalk one on the ground, or use stones and leaves to make an outline.
Your ladybird needs to have 2 wings.
Now roll a dice to find a number up to 6.
Use counters, buttons, bottle tops, stones etc. as the ladybird's spots.
Can you count out the correct number of spots to place on your ladybird? - to match the number you rolled on your dice?
How many different ways can you make e.g. 5 by placing spots on both wings?
1 and 4 2 and 3 3 and 2 5 and 0
Can you draw pictures to show all the patterns you made and have a go at writing the numerals?
