Re- watch the video to listen to the story about

'What the Ladybird Heard'

What the Ladybird Heard

Now talk to your grown-up about what happens in the story.

Use the illustrations to help you - you can pause the video to have a closer look smiley

Where does the story happen?

What animals live on the farm?

What sounds do the different animals make?

Who came to the farm? What did they want to do?

What did the ladybird do?

How did the animals trick the burglars?

What happened at the end of the story?

Now can you put these pictures from the story in the right order?

What happened first? What happened next?

What happened after that? How did the story end?

Writing.

Can you draw your own map of the farmyard in the story?

Talk to your grown-up about all the different places that the animals live in. Can you draw the barn, the pig sty, the duck-pond etc..?

Can you draw the animals that live in each of these places? ...or perhaps you could confuse the burglars by drawing the animals in the WRONG places!!!winklaugh

Can you add any labels to your picture? Think carefully about the sounds that the animals names begin with and the places where they live.
