The Tiger Who Came to Tea

The Tiger Who Came to Tea- Bedtime Stories with Fi

Now you have listened to the story, can you tell your grown-ups all about it?

Who are the characters in the story?

What happens at the beginning of the story?... and in the middle?...and at the end?

Do you think a tiger would make a good pet? Explain to your grown-up what you think.

Have you ever seen a tiger? Where did you go to see it?

Here is another story about a tiger that I think you might enjoy too!

Writing/Mark-Making.

The tiger in the story just walked straight into Sophie's house- he didn't have an invitation to come to tea!! I do hope he remembered his good manners!!

Would you like to invite the tiger to come to tea at your house?

Could you have a go at writing an invitation to the tiger?

You need to tell the tiger where the party will be, on what day and time.

What will you do at the party?

Remember to write your name at the bottom so the tiger knows who the invitation is from!

Can you draw a picture on your invitation that you think the tiger might like?

Grown-ups!! - Please read the note about writing/mark-making I included in the Literacy section Week Beginning 11.1.21 ... we do not expect your child to use proper letters or spell words to 'write'. The important messages are that we are giving them a purpose to their writing, and encouraging them to make marks on paper.smileysmiley
