Down on the Farm today we are finding out how to make baked beans!

Farmers and gardeners grow lots of different types of beans. Did you notice what type of beans are used to make baked beans?

Why did they have to check the dried beans? What does the rehydrator do?

How did they sort the beans?

What are put into the cans first and what do they add next?

What happens in the seamer machine? Why are the cans heated up?

What happens to the cans when they are cool?

Challenge: This week we have been learning about the ee phoneme and it's different spelling choices. Here are some words from those choices. Can you read them? Now choose one word from each list and use it in a sentence. Write your four sentences in your book.
