Hello again, everybody, and Welcome again to a new week of learning activities!
This week, on Friday 12th February, people all over the world will be celebrating
Chinese New Year.
Families will be putting up decorations, eating special food, giving each other lucky envelopes containing money, watching parades with enormous dragon puppets, and enjoying firework displays.
I am hoping you and your grown-ups will be interested to find out more about Chinese New Year and why and how it is celebrated.
Maybe you might like to make some decorations and have your own celebration?!
Start off by watching these two videos about a little girl called Abbi- on the first video, she is helping her family get ready to celebrate Chinese New Year, and on the second video you can see her having lots of fun!

We are going to continue finding out about animals this week by looking at the story
The story happens in a country called Africa, where it is very hot and sunny lots of the time. The animals in the story live on the savannah, an area where there is lots of dry grass and not many trees.
