Here is a monochrone picture. 

Have a go at making one of your own.

You will need to find a piece of card and paint it with shades of grey. 

Next, ask a grown-up to help you find objects around the house which are grey, black or white. Now place them on your grey background to see what pattern looks best. When you are happy with your pattern, glue your objects down.
